Skateboard Building
Roarockit is a company from Toronto Canada that builds boards with students by hand, layer by layer. I got the chance to visit and see the Amazing students at Oasis Skateboard Factory School. Then, students in Green Bay got to build their own boards! It was a great experience, and one I hope to repeat this summer! I worked with the talented Adam Peters from Preble! Big Thank You to Trina Lambert, my principal for being so supportive!
Penguins in the Northern Lights
2/3 Graders watched a beautiful youtube video of the Northern Lights and painted a liquid watercolor background-we emphasized the wet-on-wet watercolor technique. Students could add pinches of salt for stars. The next class students created penguins, practicing cutting, gluing and creating characters! Great job!

The Grand Canyon
Robots
Students in 2/3 Grade created Robot Paintings, (using a great handout from Pinterest) then went on to use recycled objects to create sculptures. This project would not have been successful, if I didn't have an amazing Mom who came in to help me! Rounding up recyclables, manning a hot glue gun, storing them (over 100 robots in the basement!!). It was an unforgettable project. Students even wrote stories in their classrooms about their Robots! It was a great way for everyone to feel successful and just build!!
